I guess if my camera can only see a bright light bulb, then I have a defective unit. This sp3 as much as I like it becoming like owning a 99 Mercedes ML. Every week something is broken and you constantly are reading forums on how to fix it.

I have 2 sp3's. One is a i5 128 without the panoramic option in the camera and an i5 256 that has the panoramic option. They both seem to have all the updates. Also the i5 256's camera has a very dark unusable image?

I looked at another machine and its camera driver dates were from 2006 also. It's not the driver, I guess its just defective. I used the back camera a few decays ago and it was fine.

I just looked at the camera drivers and the back camera driver is dated 2006 while the front camera is dated 2014. That doesn't make any sense.

My back camera can not see anything, it's an all black image except when pointing it at a light bulb. I adjusted then exposure and it has to be all the way up to see anything. I just exchanged to an i5 8gb from the i5 4gb.

I have had 2 surfaces and within a week they both showed a wear mark under the hinge of the kickstand. It looks to be some kinds of friction tape strip. I didn't have time to upload a photo but basically the silver strip is wearing pretty fast and turning black.

I have my power button set to sleep in settings. When I press my power button the sp3 displays a screen asking me to slide down to shut down. Am I missing a setting?

Calibrating did not work, it would not let the pen cursor go into the corners. But I did click the reset calibration button. I was then asked if I wanted to erase all calibration data. That did the trick it is now back to working properly.

I noticed today that the pen will not write all the way to the right side of the screen in onenote portrait mode. When the pen gets about a half inch from the edge of the screen a line appears from the pen tip to the bottom of the screen?
