There might be some issue with Windows update, try the windows update troubleshooter, I had to use it yesterday after my updates screwed up. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9830262

The clock issue happened after one of the updates, here is how I fixed it: Click the clock -> Change date and time settings -> Internet Time -> Change Settings -> Check Synchronize (time.windows.com) -> Update now That will resync the time and you shouldn't have any more time problems.

If you put it in the sleeve without the type cover, it moves around, with the type case it's a very snug fit, it won't move around. I also have my pen attached to the top.

Ah I didn't realize you were using outlook.com, I was referring to the outlook application on the desktop, hence the confusion.

The i3 would work well for what you mentioned. My i5 rarely gets hot, people make it seem like you can cook an egg on it, I have only experienced a hot SP3 when viewing flash video, major updates, and that's about it. The i3 would be the best option if you are concerned about heat.
