    Ok, so I went back to the store and the model I tested was indeed NOT an m3. They had it labelled as such but in the system settings it showed i5 4GB. I have not heard the fan kick on on this device in over 1.5 hrs. total of hammering on it. That doesn't mean it wasn't on... I simply may not...

    It is interesting also to see the Geekbench results for the Surface Book. Surface Book i5 is comparable to the Surface Pro 4 i5. There is also a listing of Surface Book i7 which shows 3577 single-core and 7401 multi-core. The i7-6600U being about a 15% increase on the Geekbench vs. the i5...

    So roughly a 30% increase 3DMark/PCMark from i5SP3 to i5SP4, in line with what MSFT said at the event. 2 questions: - We need to see the i7 benchmarks as MSFT was claiming 80% increase i7 to i7 at the release event. - Is anyone able to get this i5 or i7 to throttle after repeated runs...
