If the SP5 comes out in October, I would likely wait. You could probably pick up the 4 at a really good price once the 5 comes out or go with the 5 right off. I think paying full price now for the 4 would be a waste.

I use the Microsoft Arc mouse with my Surface. Feels full size but folds flat enough to make travel a breeze.

In my case, the Surface Pro 3 is replacing my old laptop so that is the battery life I am comparing it to and the Surface Pro 3 is much better at battery life than my Acer laptop was.
