I apologize for the confusion. While docked, Im unable to get an image to the 4K display. I swapped with a 1080p display and got good image output. When the surface is not docked, I get good image output to the 4K display when connected directly into the Surface's DP port.

Hello, Im outputting the i7 surface via a 1.2 DP cable to a Samsung 28" 4k display. Im unable to get an image when the cable is connected to the dock. I am, though, able to get an image when I connect the cable directly into the Surface's DP output. Any ideas? Thank you.

I'm able to get the same resolution, but unable to get the 60hz refresh.

For some reason, when I tap the power button, the surface is completely shut of whereas it has historically gone into a standby mode. Now, when I go to turn it back on, it boots up showing the Surface logo. Any idea how this could have happened and how to correct it?

Ok, with everyone's help, I was able to identify it as a wrong cable version. I've since installed a 1.2 DP cable and am able to get the proper resolution of 3840x2260. The problem is that I'm only able to select a refresh rate of 29hz. According to the display's Amazon page, it should be...

Hello, I am new and very happy to find this forum. Ive received my i7 Surface Pro 3 today. My next step is to purchase the dock, display port cable, and a 4K desktop monitor. Is there a consensus on the best cable and display that will work with the Surface Pro? Thank you in advance!
