The reason I say to remove it and put it in the Charms is because it's a matter of keeping the UI Clean and with what is standard in W8. Every app I can think of has the settings in the Charms menu. It's a nice interface, just a recommendation on what could keep it clean.

No problems with mine either. I did have an issue where the Home button was acting like it was pressed causing screen caps when I wanted to turn the volume down and narrator when I tried to turn it up. Solved the problem with the INCREDIBLY AWESOME refresh feature. Now it 5 by 5.

On your SP3 It establishes your location based on where your IP address is reported. It's not using GPS like phones do. Don't sweat it, just set your locations manually.

Yes, one of the main, if not ONLY reason I need to use the desktop version is for a plug-in. Specifically, DO Not Track plugin. I would like to use DNT to manage my passwords, create secure credit cards, etc. The plugin works great in IE Desktop and of course, doesn't work at all in MUI version.
