I appreciate the links and the pic. I learned that my replacement surface was built 1329, 17 weeks newer than my first SP1. When I looked over the battery report there was no history before the day I received it. I'm not sure if Microsoft wiped the history or I somehow received a new replacement.

I did indeed receive my replacement SP1 today. GO MICROSOFT!

While I do not have a crack in that spot I have noticed a dent and crack in the channel where the typecover attaches...I guess the repeated removal an reattachment of the keyboard is proving to be more force than the tablet case can handle :(

what did u do to install those drivers? i have them unzipped but cannot run any of the 4 files under the WLAN folder nor the 3 files under the BT folder. Do I need some special app to open them?

coupling the type or touch cover with the wireless adapter equates to roughly a $200 keyboard... that is INSANE! Why not just purchase a the wedge keyboard (its bluetooth) and save the extra $130+? In addition, placing the touch or type keyboard on anything that is not a completely flat surface...

anyone see a problem doing this? I would love the two position kickstand but dont want to have to purchase another surface pro.
