So I just noticed a new folder in my programs folder. Its called CMAK don't know where it came from. It has a file called cmak.exe.mui in it. Is it safe or bad. This is coming from a clean install and only non app store apps I have is malware bytes and office installed right now.

Finally after years of asking, today I went to search for something and when I went to change the parameters of time to search I saw it now allows you to do custom time parameter searches by a calendar grid. Yay!

Make sure its installed to your HD not your SD. That can cause problems.

Remove the sd card and see if that's the problem

I don't know if its perception but finally getting this made my surface seem as fast as windows 8.1 in UI. I don't know the right word to use, more fluid? Plus FINALLY got rid of the recovery drive. Saved about 7GBs on my 64GB drive so thats awesome

The problem is if it wasn't pre installed with windows 10 the recovery image will always download the 8.1 image every time.

How did your computer even run with 100mbs left.

The whole point is to get rid of recovery drive. a surface preloaded with win10 doesn't have a recovery partition it uses the .wim ??? I think files to restore, saving a lot more space on the surface

So I made a recovery drive and when I it finished I had the option to delete recovery drive which I did. Instead of adding to c drive it put it as unallocated space. In disk management I can't get it to add to c drive. Any other way to do it?

I want this too. The footprint of the surface 10 image is a lot smaller than the windows 8 image. I know a Microsoft store tech guy and might ask if he can flash mine to the win10 surface image

I just want to know who the one a hole was that decided no horizontal scrolling in win10. You can't tell me out of all the people making win10 that that didnt come up. Nobody ever asked why not keep the start screen just like it is

Came across this browsing the internet. It basically is just how to map your OneDrive folder as a network folder so its all online and not local. Here is the link to the YouTube video showing how its done. This might help people out till file place holders are hopefully put back on.

That's just ludacris. Windows 8 was in no way poor. windows 8 is THE best tablet OS in my opinion. I wanted to go fully tablet and its UI alone was enough to get me to switch from 15 years of Apple products. iOS sucks for tablets, windows 10 sucks for tablets but windows 8.1. was perfect.
