From what I understand, the Power Cover is basically Type Cover 1 with battery added. Or at least that was the original plan.

Why in the world do you need higher res that 1920x1080 on the SPro?? The current screen is definitely the last item I would worry about. Battery life, laptop mode improvements, weight & thickness, noise and storage space are what's needed.

Civ V works great on the Pro, if you don't mind some fan noise :)

I use my Note II with no problems as a hotspot for my RT with 8.1 Preview.

Unfortunately it's the same for me, even using IE 11 with Windows 8.1 Preview. Gmail is very slow, to the point of being unusable.

The Pro is way more expensive, heavier, 1/2 of battery life, and loud when running under load. It's all up to the user, but for me, RT is much better.

I have to say that RDP at full 1080p res is a plus in my book, but you definitely need the wedge mouse for ultimate experience. This is actually one of the selling points of the Pro for me.

You are absolutely right - Google is evil, and Microsoft rocks. Gosh, if we only had more upstanding companies like Microsoft and less evil ones like Google.

I really think we need to cut Microsoft some slack here. It's their first time with a large hardware venture, with a lot of unknowns. Even the mighty Apple, supposed king of distribution, didn't get it right first few times.

But Microsoft charging Google for Gmail support on Microsoft's own devices by only supporting EAS and refusing to support open standards like CalDAV and CardDAV is not? lol
