I had this last week. The only thing I could do was to go back to a restore point of a couple of weeks ago. Worked for me and saved a rebuild.

Recently, I think after the latest update, the icons vanish from the tiles on the front page. A reboot restores them and so does resizing them but as soon as I return to the front page, the icons have vanished leaving just blank tiles. How can I restore them permanently? Thanks

This when the SP4 goes to sleep To clarify, this isn't a DLNA or Miracast issue. This is just listening to incoming internet streams on iPlayer. No casting involved. Cheers

While playing streaming media, it closes when the power save kicks on. Is there a work around for this without having to reset the power saving parameters every time I want to stream something? Thanks

Yep, this is the very last resort. It would probably take me a couple of weeks to restore all my apps. I am still clinging on to the hope that there is a file that can be replaced to just reset the network piece of the settings.

Ahh, you've got me there! I am 99% sure it was the former and not the legacy control panel. I have deleted the StreamVia profile using the legacy panel but this has still not solved the problem: as soon as I select "VPN" in the settings page, the whole of the network options are unresponsive...

Thanks for this. I carried out the instructions and restarted but the problem persists. As soon as I try to select VPN, the whole Network secton in Settings, locks up. More suggestions please!

You're lucky! Mine doesn't reconnect even though the network says it's connected. I have to disconnect and reconnect to get things working again.

Thanks for the comment. Having bought an all-singing, all-dancing TV, I am loathed to fork out more cash when the technology in both devices is already there but I guess I may have to bite the bullet. Cheers

I have a new Panasonic TV and a new SP4. Both have Miracast and the SP4 "sees" the TV but after up to a minute of "connecting" the connection fails. Mirroring is enabled on the TV. Has anyone solved this problem or am I missing something? Thanks

Another anomaly: when starting to type the query in the address bar of the browser, after the first character, the keyboard vanishes and needs to be manually opened to finish typing. Anyone else noticed this?
