Using new surface pen with Surface 3?

I thought the flat side of the pen felt really weird- but I haven't seen anybody else mention it. I'm guessing it's just me. ;)

Is anybody else using a Surface 3 and another Surface?

Unlike the iPad in which my grandfathered unlimited data plan meant that I didn't have to worry about streaming movies on Netflix- with the S3 LTE, I have a real computer with the ability to have a computer that is ALWAYS connected. No worries about hot-spotting, WiFi availability, etc. Love it!

Is anybody else using a Surface 3 and another Surface?

I had an SP3, and sold it a few weeks before the SP4 launch as I had planned on upgrading. While looking in my local classifieds I found a great deal on an S3 w/ LTE and really fell in love with the form factor. Unlike most of you (I'm guessing) I never felt like the SP3 was an ideal tablet...

Is anybody else using a Surface 3 and another Surface?

I really like my S3 w/ LTE. The only thing I miss from my SP3 is the slightly more generous keyboard and the screen real estate when I am taking notes. So, for now, I'm keeping both tablets. I realize "hot-spotting" is easy, but I've got one of those unlimited grandfathered data plans that...

SP4 Pen on SP3. Anyone try it out?

Why? Do you think the SP3 Pen is a disappointment? I went into the Microsoft Store, ready to upgrade to the SP4, and came out thinking that it would take me a long time to get used to having a round pen with one flat side. Felt completely odd and unnatural. What is awesome is the new SP4...

I went in to the MS store expecting to upgrade to the SP4...

I have loved my SP3 and sold it in anticipation of getting the SP4. In the meantime, I found a S3 w/ LTE that was for sale locally-at a great price- and bought it. I already have the latest, greatest 15" MBPro- as even thought it might be a little controversial- music, photos and videos are...

Wipe Surface Pro 3 Before Selling

I spent to0 long trying, and finally realized, "you can't get there from here"- or at least, I couldn't- so I went to the Microsoft Store and had them do it. Frankly, it bugged me. You should be able to wipe your system a lot easier than that... The glass half full perspective is that it was...

    SP 4 Core M3 vs SP3 Core i5?

I'm considering the same thing. I sold my SP3 about a month ago to get an SP4 when available. I missed my Surface so much that when I found a great deal for a Surface 3 w/ LTE on the local classifieds and I can't believe how much I like it. Then I went into the Microsoft Store and played...

LTE- How many will go to SP4 for LTE it is offered?

I've got a grandfathered unlimited data plan with AT&T, and with my SP3 my device of first choice, my unlimited data iPad doesn't get much use anymore. The Surface 3 will soon be shipping with LTE, and, the SP4 is rumored to be offered with LTE. Is that a big deal to you guys? Would it be a...

    New Apple 12" MacBook - competition to SP3 ?

I guess I'm old school, but I believe any computer can be made big enough to cram a huge conventional USB port in the side of it. It seems to be me like the design ethic at Apple is really driving development. For example. If you've held a LG G3, and an iPhone 6 Plus, can you honestly tell...

    Moto Connect. Wow.

I have really liked my Windows phones, and I do believe that connectivity between the platforms is a huge deal. The only reason I'm still not carrying my 1520 is that my favorite Application ever (Audible) just isn't stable on the Windows mobile platform.

    Moto Connect. Wow.

Thanks for the mightytext suggestion. I have enabled it and it works well. I think I prefer it to Moto Connect as it would allow me to go a different non Motorola device (I go through phones like people go through socks- always wanting to try something different) I can continue to use it. I...

    Moto Connect. Wow.

As much as I love my SP3, I found myself carrying a MacBook (and an iPhone) because I LOVE being able to send and receive texts to and from my cell phone via my MacBook. Well, now I'm carrying a new Moto X, and, using Motorola Connect on my SP3, I am getting all of my texts on my SP3. Love...

    Browsers and Battery Life-

My son (who is kind of a huge Windows fan) - set up my SP3 and installed his favorite browser (Pale Moon). I've really grown to like it as I've never gotten comfortable with the look and feel of IE on the SP3. Quick question- relative to battery life, are their some browsers that are better...

    i5 vs i7 performance

I bought the i3, 64GB and loved it so much that I upgraded to the i5 256GB. Truth is, with so much stuff in the cloud, I really didn't need the additional HD space, and, for what I use it for, I probably didn't need the additional processor speed. It's just money, right? ;)

    Excellent Pen [video]

Regarding the video- I don't use the video for cursor control. I use a mouse for that (or, in a pinch the trackpad). But, just to see how it would work, I was able to do exactly what you were unable to do with your pen, with my pen, effortlessly. When it comes to writing. While my experience...

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is the Gadget of the Year

To say that you'd like if only it had stylus support, is for me, saying something like I could be an MMA contender... if I only knew how to fight. :) For me, the game-changer is inking. Love it. There are a few other things that I'm not crazy about, but it is the ability to take notes in a...
