I thought this pretty much summed up my feelings of the new "Start Button"... Microsoft listens, and gives everyone the Start button they didn?t ask for

When I tried to jailbreak my RT, it failed so no start button app for me.....

How many people are going to know that you have to long-press it to get the extended menu items? O/W all it does is return you to the tiles, which the logo below the screen will do and is easier.

I installed 8.1 on my RT, but not going to update my wife's. I don't see enough features to warrant the risk. The new Start is a big fail in my opinion.

I would have uninstalled it too.... :D Guess I've seen too many pc's screwed up by Norton/Symantec. It's very possible it wasn't compatible.

RE: new start button.... It's a joke. Tap it and you you're back to the start tiles page. Long press it and you can get to administrative tools, control panel, shutdown, etc. I can't say I like it. I see Outlook is installed, but I'm not touching it until I know more about it.

I'm at "applying PC settings 60%" so just about done.

DL'ing right now..... On your Surface, go to http://windows.microsoft.com, and follow the links to the preview site, tap "download" at the top, then get the update. Install it, reboot, then go to the store to DL it.
