These things have battery drain issues....that's just how it is right now. Hopefully it's fixed in the near future, MS has stated they will be releasing an update for it.

Well shut down you just shut it down instead of doing nothing, and hibernate is in the power options. You can tell it to hibernate after X minutes.

Sleep is borked on these things. Shut it down or use hibernate.

Another problem; the wifi doesn't properly turn back on if you set it to turn off while going into hibernate. I always have to click the icon at the bottom right to basically turn it back on again.
