seems it was sorting itself out after the updates...

sometimes it works if you uninstall the wifi from "device manager" and then perform a search and let it install itself and then try to re-connect to your router... also make sure your router has its firmware updated

sounds like someone tried to play with the registry or played with something... only thing I can suggest is to try and restore to factory... there is a bunch of video's on youtube that explains in detail how to do this...
