I use a variety of browsers to test websites I build. I have noticed recently that IE 11 constantly crashes and is extremely slow. I'm guessing this has something to do with a recent update because it used to work fine. It is bone stock. Anyone else having issues?

I think you will be fine. If your display has craters in it like the reddit guy then that's another matter. They fix the broken units and send them out as refubs. Would you be disappointed if you received your current unit as a replacement? If not then you are probably good.

It was a month old so it looked brand new (and the new one does too, over two years later). The guy in that post admitted his screen was all scratched up. There are plenty of idiots on reddit.

I've been running 10 since it came out and haven't had any issues so far. But I'm not sure whether this is a problem with 10 or the unit itself. I use my Surface at home and work. Generally I take it home, throw it in the dock, then in the morning power it down and take it out of the dock...

The warranty is definitely worth the money. I've seen tons of threads on reddit titled "get the warranty" and "should have bought the warranty". I waited too long and was unable to purchase it myself.

You're going to need some video software such as Premiere or Final Cut Pro to either change formats or break it up into several smaller videos. I know you can download a free trial of Premiere on Adobe's website. You may also be able to upload it incrementally to youtube.

You can set it up so the power button does whatever you want. Go to Search in the charm bar, search for "change what the power buttons do" and then you should see a screen where you can modify what the power button does both while it is on battery and when it is plugged in to the charger.

Maybe try uninstalling/reinstalling?

Really, in Office 2013? I purchased a 365 license and even when I open OneNote on a Windows 7 machine it looks Metro-style. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread.

He said Office 2013. I don't believe there would be a reason to have a "desktop" version AND a "metro" version.
