Well, that was what I was getting prior to the Threshold update, about 550 mWh. Now it's about 2.5x that. For whatever reason, the graphics card is constantly be used and wifi is setup to turn off during sleep. So you say no to DRIP? :) Is that because the SPs shouldn't be entering that state?

I don't get anything near that. Does your device enter DRIPS mode? The best I've seen is 1% per hour. I'm trying to figure out if it's because my device never goes into DRIPS - I have yet to see that.

Battery drain for me during sleep is an obsession, I even think about it when sleeping. Other than that, my SP4 is fine. I should just enjoy it.

Update. I uninstalled the display adapter and associated driver software. So it's using version 10.18.15.4256 dated 7/17/2015. In this case, the last 2 CS sessions, the rate is around 580 mWh. Again, consistent numbers between the sessions. Now it's 7% graphics, and 2% cpu. This number is...

Thanks for the response, but does your SP4 go into DRIPS or not? Does anybody's SP4 enter DRIPS? I have not seen mine enter it since having it.

For those of you using connected standby, does your SP4 ever enter DRIPS? I have yet to see mine do so. If it should be, is there something obvious that would prevent it from entering? Overall, my SP4 is great, but I keep obsessing about this battery drain thing ... I should just let it go ...

Does your device ever spend anytime in DRIPS? My histogram is always empty.

Wish I could help. Using USB hasn't caused an issue for me ... yet. That's with both a thumb drive and an HDD attached with a Vantec adapter.

I read in another forum someone having the same issue. They tried a different brand and it worked fine. Some suggest that certain models, cheaper ones, will interfere with the radio signal.

Are you saying it's a hardware issue then?

I can reproduce the crash in Edge consistently on the SP4. Go to Cats of Instagram, click archive on the left, and then scroll quickly up and down :)

You'll have to open the command prompt as an admin (Right click, run as administrator) :)

I don't think the battery driver will help you there. Have you generated a sleep study report and see what it might say? powercfg /sleepstudy /output "path" For me, the biggest thing I see sucking up power during sleep is the video card.

In my opinion, I don't think that battery driver was correct. I think it was an issue with the update server. I can no longer update it now either, but I'm OK with using the 2006 version.

I too find sometimes that the graphics card goes off the reservation while in sleep mode. Why? It's off!!
