Your problem is that you're using an N-trig device with a Wacom mentality. With Wacom, you watch the cursor. With N-trig, you watch the pen. Don't worry about the hover cursor, just draw. I also used to think there was a jitter issue. I then drew a line using a ruler and it was perfectly straight.

Have you tried booting into the bios? You have to hold Volume + and press the power button, and it should boot there. Then exit setup and it might boot properly. If not, then you will probably need to refresh the device.

I tear mine off a lot, and it still looks fine. Get it replaced under warranty. My Type Cover 2 is also still in use and not having any issues either.
