    Is Microsoft Office installed

Seeing as we don't officially have the SP3 here in Australia and so haven't seen one is a trial version of Office 2013 installed as is often the case on new PC's. I could activate it with my key then. Just organising in preparation.

    Surface Pro scratch resistance

In Oz we haven't seen the SP3 yet, so is it more scratch resistance than the SP2. Going on the reports I saw (Didn't own one) the SP2 was very easy to scratch as it was a painted surface. Seemed to be a common complaint.

Surface Pro 3 Pen Nib Replacement

Hopefully this will be fixed by the time their released in Oz. Is the material that soft that it wears quickly on smooth glass? Is the pressure required very high for the widest ink?

surface pro 3 (i3/i7 versions) retail date pulled ahead!

Look at it this way. A lot of the initial issues will have been fixed by the time we get it. Not always desirable to get a new product when it's first released.

Keyboard doesn't sit flush folded back

Keyboard doesn't sit flush folded back

For those with the SP3 and type cover. When the cover is folded over the screen does it have a magnet to keep it closed against screen. Not seen this mentioned anywhere so assuming it doesn't.

Essential Apps for new SP3 owners?

Not one of the cheaper options but 1Password is really good. I use it on Mac Windows iPad/iPhone. Also available on Android. It syncs across all via Dropbox if you wish otherwise it saves only to the device. One Purchase will let you install on all your Windows devices.
