    SB Dents...

Does your SB dent easily, or develop dents that you cannot trace back? I've owned 15+ laptops in the past 5 years, nature of work I am always changing them out. One thing I am careful of is there condition since I tend to sell them so quickly. This is my 2nd SB, first was replaced by...

New Hardware Update: Is This The ONE?

I was one of the first to complain about how bad my book was. We have 3 books and 3 SP4's. The last set of updates fixed 95 percent of our issues. This included my major problem which was the dock never working with my 34" Ultra-wide Dell monitor. Now I dock it, hit a key, wait patiently for...

Hestitant to post this but since replacement been perfect

Its not meant to be. 90 percent of what we do is either in SharePoint, MSP software, etc....if it wasn't for QuickBooks could probably just get away with Azure domain services. Now it makes me wonder what we do have...have to look and see.

Hestitant to post this but since replacement been perfect

I had my SB Pro replaced a few days ago by MS. I use my laptop a lot, easily 6-7 hours per day so it gets a lot of heavy use and in a lot of different situations so I am always closing/opening it which left me with a ton of sleep issues. So far this new one has been flawless. Not a single...

MS replaced Surface Book - Finally died

Well it lasted about 10 minutes after I posted this. Screen went to sleep, woke it up and mouse would not respond. So I undocked it, and POOF INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR. All I put on it was Office 365, did not even join it to my domain yet. I do not keep any data on the laptop at all. It's all...

MS replaced Surface Book - Finally died

My SB died last night, or as close to dying as it was going to get. After the 12/17 update I had great luck for about 2 days with wake from sleep. Then I started to get INTERAL_POWER_ERROR BSOD's. I had gotten a few over the few months I've had it but after the 12/17 update there was a...

12/17 Firmware update - Sleep issue seems resolved

I did the 12-17 firmware update yesterday and since then wake from sleep has worked 100 percent of the time within 1-2 seconds of opening the laptop and hitting a key. I have never seen it react that fast before. I did get one INT_POWER BSOD from what I can tell it went to sleep in regular...

    Creative Professional Software Experiences?

Not using anything close to the level you are but I do use Lightroom quite a bit. Just as a hobby and my experience has not been great. I owned a MB Pro only because of Lightroom. Speeed was not that much of an issue on Windows laptops but no one made a decent thin laptop that had good...

Mouse moves on its own when closed

I'm careful putting it there. Funny enough today is the first time I have not had it. It may explain the battery drain. I've pulled it out of my bag after an hour drive and it was smoking hot.

Microsoft issues apology for Surface issues

Premium Price = Premium Experience. Paying $2,200 for a laptop that has these types of on going issues is not a premium experience. Make no mistake they knew of every single problem ahead of time. If you have ever been through a product development there are very few gotcha's that someone...

Mouse moves on its own when closed

This has been an issue since day one and it happens on both of your SB's. The mouse will move on its own, or get stuck in the upper left corner of the monitor. It also detects the movement as clicks and causes its own set of problems. Here has been the fix: A binder clip to hold it open...

    Stability and Reliability

I've rarely had any issues with any version of Windows but it starts with good hardware and a proper setup management. We pick the hardware, user rights, and we manage the entire desktop. The only thing that has held up our Win10 deployments our migration away from Kaspersky who still does not...

    Stability and Reliability

People need to stop making excuses for Microsoft. Win10 is fine. I have an installed user base of nearing 100 machines on Win10, no problems. We have 3 SP4's and 3 SB Pro's in our office. Every last one of them has a similar set of problems. After the last update I now get Power BSOD's on...

    New annoying problem in dock...

After a successful week I thought things were going well. Now when in the dock the windows have a mind of their own. They will resize, flash to full screen, then back. Like 100's of times in a few seconds. Replaced the keyboard/mouse problem persists. Seems to get much better if I open it...

Did the November 2 firmware fix your issues?

I am down to 3 problems: Display driver crashes maybe once or twice per day, causes no issue other than a momentary black screen Some flash style videos play horribly slow Opening up 10-15 tabs in Edge will cause it to stop responding for 45-60 seconds, then it comes back and is fine All are...

The tablet portion has no connectivity itself at all.

I have finally become a pen user...want a drawing tablet, suggestions?

Partly Surface related but hopefully someone can help I have never been a fan of pens on tablets. Partly because of the size of the tablet and I have a very poor eye for proportions when I start something, so by the time I sketch out 15 percent I realize I'm out of room :) The Book is large...
