Depends entirely on what you need it for really. I am more than happy to use the usb port (either on the surface, or the dock) so that I can use the mouse I actually want to use, as opposed to the "best" of the bluetooth offerings. On the go I love my MX anywhere2, and at home I prefer my razor...

I use defender and nothing else. Works fine. Other than laptops which come with something pre-installed (which get removed straight away due to their effect on performance and generally being very annoying!) I have never used anything but what is provided by windows, and I've never had issues...

If the primary use is multmedia then you probably bought the wrong product. Other than for watching things, I far prefer 3:2. When I pick up my nexus tablets for browsing the web, I just can't really get over the letterboxing of either orientation. But they're far better for things like youtube...

That's what I meant by reset. When they work, surfaces are brilliant, but it is a shame that often a small issue requires a whole re-install.

That sounds very odd. Mine behaves exactly as you'd expect it to, no graphical glitches or anything. Have you checked that your surface is fully up to date? If so, it might be worth trying a reset. I certainly wouldn't be putting up with a bug like that.

So long as the pen uses n-trig then it will work (so if a microsoft pen, only those from the SP3 and onwards).

That's a good outcome, but why are they not refunding the full amount paid?

The hardware is more than enough for running windows 10. Even an atom processor can run it without much of a problem.
