This problem started with SP3 and continued on SP4. Even if there was new office released (2016), the problem is still here. My setup: SP4, dock and external full HD screen. If I boot the surface on external screen everything is ok, but when I disconnect the screen, office gets blurry on SP4...

I always have brightness setting on "suggested" but very often, when I resume the device from sleep in a darker enviroment, the display is too bright and I have to manually adjust it to "darkest" or "darker". Does anybody else have same problems? Is there a solution?

I have mine on dock and it works as you described, I can wake it up from sleep with a mouse click. If it's hibernated, I just pres the power button and once it boots to windows, I get an output to external monitor.

I had the same problem on Surface 2. Unfortunately I did not find any solution except changing the screen.

I sent my device for repair/exchange 13.4., received it back today. It is working again:) Acording to the document, that I received, they put the device to factory state and that after testing, no fault was discovered. I gues they somehow flashed it, it came back with windows 8.1 installed.

Yesterday evening I pushed power button on my SP3, screen powered on, I put in on the bed, when I turned arround and then back, screen was off. Since then I cannot power it on. Tried every possible combination of keys and buttons, nothing works, exactly the same situation as mentioned in first...

So you have restarted the surface and everything is ok now?

It worked well for some time and then the touch went dead again. Since it was out of warranty I sold it to a friend for a low amount of money. He said, he did not need the touch, he was satisfied with type cover and a mouse. After that I bought a SP3.

Well..I turned my surface off 5 days ago and today I turned it back on and touch is suddenly working again. I have no clue what happened. Now I am scared about what will happen when I turn it off or when battery dies next time.. @pbsawyer0 any news on your side?
