So I was using the pluggable but only for ethernet, mouse, keyboard. I unplugged this alone, and now the utilization dropped. Do you think the microsoft dock will also use this kind of overhead??

Not seeing major issues.. this thing is pretty sweet. Few things here and there but nothing future updates wouldn't fix.

Hey guys, so I hooked up my sp3 to dual ultrasharp u2414h monitors. Worked great.. however, the cpu utilization does not go below 23%.. with nothing running. I plan on using this during the day docked.. how can they bill this as a replacement for a laptop with this kind of overhead? Anyone else...

Can I run the sp2 full time if need be without causing it damage? Having it docked or undocked on all day?

I know the surface pro 2 is billed as a tablet/laptop but is it designed for constant on/off just like you would say with an ipad? Or should someone try to limit using it in this way?

hmm this looks interesting. I want to make this my primary computer, but I need the two monitors (without being washed out)... i will let you know if I try this.

Thanks for the reply. Ok I was hoping that there was another way, kind of disappointed there aren't just two ports on the dock.

Very simply.. is there a way to hook up two monitors where they will be powered via the video card? I don't want to use a USB connection because I don't like how washed out and crappy the display looks when done this way. Is this even possible without getting monitors that support something...

Jnjroach, question about the remote desktop modern app. Any way to make it work to connect to machines over a vpn? Right now it seems like the mx apps do not see locations across a VPN, I have to use the full rdp app in desktop mode.

Anyone else notice just how much better the pen recognition and general performance is in the journal app vs full one note? There is more pen lag in One Note, and I almost prefer using Journal because of this for taking notes. Anyone else notice this?

I am reviving this thread.. so any new developments that would enable someone to hook up two monitors on the mini display port? I also cannot stand the washed out display when hooked up to the docks.. I can barely read text without my eyes hurting.
