I had problem where Surface Pro 2 would charge only to 80% and report that as 100% (31,221 mWh). Sometimes it would keep charging at 100% and sometimes it stops at 80% of actual capacity. This is so weird but at best it was charging upto 41,677 mWh (More commonly 40,500mWh). Now it's doing...

Update mine among other office updates. Mine rebooted and got stuck on "Getting your device ready" for long time so I force restarted and all the updates were done. Next update kept failing though.

Open console, (cmd.exe). Type "Powercfg /batteryreport" It generates battery life report as html file with lot of details. If you scroll down there's section on maximum mWh charged like I copied and pasted.
