Thanks for your reply. I do have a smartphone and i have not tried to tether it. However i have tethered it to my ipad which has a lot of pre paid data on. Just wanted to know if it was possible to get mobile 4G network on SurfacePro3.

Am i able to use a dongle in USB port for mobile broadband on my Surface Pro3? I connect by wi-fi to our home broadband with no problems, but need something for when i am away from home to connect.

No I am not going overseas. I was led to believe that only the SurfacePro2 was able to get 3G/4G network, and that the SurfacePro3 could only receive wireless internet. This is the reason i am here and asking, because i want to know if SurfacePro3 is able to use 3G/4G network by using a dongle...

Thank you for your reply. I would prefer to use a USB dongle to connect to 3G/4G network. If i am unable to connect with a dongle on SurfacePro3, then can i use my ipad as a hotspot? My question is.....does Surface Pro3 allow me to use a dongle to connect?

In have SurfacePro3 and use it by connecting wirelessly to our home broadband router. When i go on holidays and want to use it, am i able to connect to a mobile broadband by the USB port with a dongle? I have an ipad which has mobile broadband.....will i be able to tether to that? Vera

when do you think we will be getting Windows 10? In the meantime i am going to install a different camera and see if that works. Seems very odd that Microsoft should put out Surface Pro3 with inbuilt camera, that does not work with Skype which Microsoft also own!! I just installed my Logitech...
