    Making tablet grippier

My last attempt to illustrate. My favorite tablet (now obsolete) was the Blackberry tablet. It had a tiny rubber gasket that protrudes around the front bezel. This made the device really easy to handle. It didn't change the appearance or anything.

    Making tablet grippier

When I said hitting stuff I meant hitting the back button on the Edge browser or something else on the screen by accident. This is because there is only so much real estate to thold the thing with and holding it is a struggle. It is obvious why they encourage you to disable the Windows button...

    Making tablet grippier

Thanks. I'm going to shop for something like this. Really, try holding it between your thumb and forefinger without using your body to support it. Let it dangle. It will slide until you are pinching the edge and then it will drop to the floor.

    Making tablet grippier

I can barely hold it with one hand without the touchcover. And then try doing anything with it. What if you are standing on the subway. Or waiting in a line. Or whatever, and you can't use the kickstand. ISN'T THIS SUPPOSED TO BY A HYBRID TABLET???? I think this is a serious design flaw...

    Making tablet grippier

There is a lot I like about the Surface 3 but I amhaving a hardtime handling such A large tablet. Why did MSFT make the back completely smooth? I have huge hands and I'm constantly wrestling with it. Andwhy such sharp edges? I'm also inadvertently hitting stuff on Edge . Very frustrating. Has...

    Change top pen button?

I see that I can no longer change what the default version of OneNote is in the Surface "app" what changes certain Surface settings. This option is gone. Only pressure sensitivity is still there. Maybe there is an issue in Windows 10 so they took this option out for the time being. Anyone know?

    Change top pen button?

To change the default Onenote that opens you go to the "Surface" app that you should be able to find on your device. There are a number of settings that you can change including which Onenote opens when you hit the top button.

Has performance improved any since release?

I was able to add the first two but got a message when trying to add Stop Google Tracking that says "The Tracking Protection List is not formatted correctly and does not contain any allow or block rules." Any advice on this? Thank you.

    Podcast App or Program

I have spent a lot of time looking -- too much. Does anyone have a good podcast program for a Win8 environment? It seems crazy that there isn't one. Podcast! has not run well for me and it's not a good solution. It crashes when I try to download a podcast and has lots of limitations. Years...

    Can I Voice Type?

I am a heavy Dragon user and would be interested in trying server mediated speech recognition but if you have a solid desktop PC and a good mic Dragon is fast and works great.

    Can I Voice Type?

I discovered that the on-board mic will work with Naturally Speaking but its just not that good. On the plus side, you can use your combination headphones/microphone that you would use for phone calls and it works. That might be best option or blue tooth -- but I like wired for NS.

    Can I Voice Type?

When you say "native speech to text" do you mean built into the OS? Windows has this but it does not run the speech through the internet to refine the output. I think that is why speech recognition on cell phones (and Google search) can be so good. Consensus is that the Windows speech...

    Can I Voice Type?

So with Dragon Naturally Speaking is it possible to use the internal microphone? I've used Thinkpads' internal mics before in quiet rooms and it's very effective. I would like this option with the Surface 3 when I don't want to wear a headset. I don't see why the internal mic on the Surface 3...

    Can I Voice Type?

I installed Dragon Nat Speaking but am having trouble setting up the microphone. It does not want to use the internal microphone or does not recognize it. Has anyone set it up before? If I had to I might be able to use a USB headset but would like to be able to use the internal microphone...

    Can I Voice Type?

I have used Dragon Nat Speaking for Windows for many years and will be trying it out on S3 soon. Unless MS vastly improved the voice recognition built into the OS with Windows 8 -- which I doubt given my dabbling -- Dragon is the way to go. Dragon Nat Speaking was a big motivation in getting a...
