I would imagine that if you use it on your laptop, you can use it on the sp3 since its a full pro version of windows. It would replace your wlan on your sp3 though

Daisy chain..you can do it either from the surface or the dock.....Or you can do one from the sp3 and then one from the dock.... Either way will get you 2 external displays....the daisy chain will require an in and out Display port...so maybe a new monitor......connecting one from the SP# and...

Well I just tried mine and it does not CLICK...it just slips in and out...am I correct when I say it sounds like you guys are saying if there is not click, then the SP3 isn't working like its supposed to?

If Im disappointed with anything on the SP3, its the fact that they missed on little things like this. The SP3 is a LUXY tablet the way I see it ( especially with the price tag on it! ). As such, I don't expect these little things to pop up.

i5/256 User - Got my SP3 to show 2 external displays and itself. Cannot do 3 external displays and the SP3. If I turn off the SP3 display, then I can use 3 external monitors Oh and this is using the mini display port on the SP3 and then daisy chaining

I have a SanDisk 128GB MicroSD. Have had it in the Sp3 for 2 straight weeks now and not one instance of what you all are describing. Its bee a champ. The first thing I did when I inserted it was to reformat in NTFS. As a matter of fact, I think it asked me as soon as I put in the card...

But would I be correct in saying that the limitation is not the DP...its the SP3 GPU.....hence only 3 displays can be active due to the 4300 GPU

You stated that DP 1.2 supports 4 monitors....Im no expert and what you say might be true...but for the SP3, you can only support 3 monitors...I have tried several times to get 4 displays going ( one being my sp3 ) but it is not supported. I think the GPU is the limitation

It has totally replace my Toshiba Satellite i7. I installed WIndows 2012 server on it and use it as an iTunes server, Plex server, etc with a few VMs FOr you list , I have experienced positive results on all items!

SO let me get one thing straight...I currently have 2 external monitors daisy chained via the mini display port. It is my understanding that the GPU on the i5/256 only allows 3 monitors ( 2 external and one being the sp3)..I saw the video of someone connecting 4 monitors and the SP3 via USB...

Nice...awesome planning.....I wish I would have waited and planned out to pay less.... Don't get me wrong...I LOVE LOVE LOVE my SP3...but paying less always makes anything better

I have a Sandisk 128GB Micro SD on my Sp3 i5/256 for the past 2 weeks. I have Box and OneDrive synced folders on here and have several other files. No problems at all...never dismounted that I know of. I use my SP3 at least 13 hours a day
