Any update on this? I just got my surface book and was going to purchase the adobe subscription but will reconsider if the dGPU will not function.

Thanks for the heads up. I will wait before applying these for sure! You think it has anything to do with Meltdown/spectre patches? I heard they have been causing all sorts of problems on all systems to the point that Microsoft released a patch to roll them back.

I was just having this same problem and fixed it by switching my wifi access point. Wouldn't update with my home wifi but oddly enough it updated tethering to my phone through tmobile

For what it's worth my local Best buy has always matched the student/military discount from the Microsoft store even though I am neither.
