    Automatic tablet mode

Hm, I've set it to "don't ask and always switch" and now it's working. Really strange. Thanks!

    Automatic tablet mode

Hi, I don't know whether this is a bug or a feature, but I cannot setup automatic tablet mode. 1. Detach SP3 from anything, turn on the Tablet Mode 2. Attach SP3 to some external monitor, Windows will exit the Table Mode, fine. 3. Detach SP3 from external monitor - Windows is not entering...

Upgraded to W10 but running SLOW

I've noticed that as well. But then I've discovered that IE is still installed, so I've returned to using it. Sadly, Edge is still a bit buggy. Also, overall slowness is noticeable for me too (I have i5 with 8gig). Well, let's hope that it will go away over time and with updates.

    Resetting W10 and SP3

I've just did this (upgraded from 8.1, activated, then did a clean install from USB), installer asked twice for my product key, and there was an option to skip this step in both cases. Windows 10 will activate automatically after this.

Wireless adapter not working and no recovery environment

I've just went into Windows Update, and there was a button "Get Started" (with upgrade). Don't know if it downloaded anything - upgrading took the same amount of time as before ( roughly an hour).

Wireless adapter not working and no recovery environment

I've just re-upgraded as well (after removing Cisco VPN from W8.1 first) - all is good now

Wireless adapter not working and no recovery environment

I have no antivirus. (Well, except for built-in Defender)

Wireless adapter not working and no recovery environment

Yes, there is an option in new "Settings" app, in "Backup, Recover, etc" section. You can revert to W8.1, surprisingly, it took about 2-3 minutes on my SP3 Pro. There is a screenshot for W10 TP, but this option is present on W10 release also.

Wireless adapter not working and no recovery environment

Yes, I've had the same message, when trying to remove Cisco VPN under W10. Now that I'm reverted to 8.1, I want to uninstall almost all software, and will try upgrading again.

Wireless adapter not working and no recovery environment

I've had the same issue after updating - tried some guides found on internet (reset winsock, sfc /scannow, dsim), but nothing really helped, so I had to revert to 8.1. It seems to be some issue in network subsystem, because wired connection from Dock wasn't working also. I have one suspect -...

Surface 3 dock disassembly + DisplayPort sync issue fix

Hey Surfdock, your guide is surely more thorough. And better than mine in a way that it has step-by-step instructions :)

Surface 3 dock disassembly + DisplayPort sync issue fix

Thank you all for the kind words! @olimjj, I'm sorry, but I don't see how it would help in a situation like mine :) @agt499, the connector on the dock seem to be secured pretty well, with four screws from the bottom: But that also maybe be the reason for the micro crack in solder :)

Surface 3 dock disassembly + DisplayPort sync issue fix

Hi all, I've decided to share my experience on dock disassembly, maybe someone will find it useful. 1. Peel off plastic cover on the bottom (no need to remove the rubber pads): 2. Remove Philips from the bottom screws. 3. Remove front panel: 4. After that the bottom cover can be removed...
