All, Well, I had to wear to technician hat to recover the pictures. After hours of research i decided to be brace and attempt to do it myself. I created a Ubuntu live DC(Flash Drive), and retrieved the data that way... I don't like paying for tools.

All, Is anyone else experiencing issues with WiFi after the firmware.

I gained another 6 hours of productivity with the Power keyboard.

I was able to take the defective defective device home for troubleshooting(Had to leave my Other pro3 as collateral). I am able to boot VIA USB (Linux Ubuntu) I also gotten the following error: \efi\microsoft\boot\bcd error

After an Hard reset, can the Data recovery tool access the registry and find the deleted files?

Since I bought it on vacation I didn't get the chance to do a recovery thumb drive for that one

I have a recovery thumb drive from my other surface pro 3. I would have expect the ms tech guys to try that

all, Is it possible to install a fresh version of windows 8.1 without having to do a hard reset on the surface Pro3? this is an attempt to maybe save files on a Crashed device. the device won't pass the "trying to repair automatically". Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

The pics on the SD Card we deleted, the next thing will be to try to retrieve it from the SD Card. I was about to upgrade to the Pro3 - 256GB, i did made the upgrade while waiting for them..

That's pretty much was they said. They couldn't retrieve anything. So i will have to make a Temp purchase (CC Charged) to get the defective device to try the tool. Which i think is pathetic, specially that it was a software issue not my fault.

Thank you for the advice, I did reached out to the @surface team and was given the following Link (surfac.ms/0s4Tbi ). Just Bought a 128GB SD Card but the Pro3 crashed before . just got back from my trip. :-(

The device boots up and tries to repairs itself but fails. Would ms tech let me use Ubuntu on the divice? I actually upgraded to the 8gb-256gb .
