    USB 3.0 kills my internet

btw, anyone has problems with wifi speed when microsd card is in use? When trying to use speedtest.net while copying files to microsd card (Samsung Evo+) test won't even start, can't get through ping stage :D Doesn't look like there are many users affected by this. It's not a big deal, but it...

    USB 3.0 kills my internet

Try to wrap your device/cable in aluminum foil. There's some interference on hardware side sometimes. I had to use this method every time I want to stream something from youtube though projector - speed gets so low that i get like 144p video.

    Battery Life, is this normal?

Try to watch 1080p movie with "Movies&TV" app with everything else on default - that's how Microsoft got 9 hours and that's what they advertise (it's 9 hours video playback, not browsing, photoshoping, etc.). If doing this you won't get anywhere close to 9 hours then it's not normal.

sorry, my bad - at 19% it runs only 0.37

High Idle CPU Clock Speed (May 2)

Assumptions. Are you sure that your Surface running in 0.9-1.1 range is using more power than in 0.5-0.7? It looks like it shout it be so, but it's not. I checked how low battery usage goes when you increse/decrease minimum processor state from 5% and found that you can increase minimum up to...

(What is your) minimum battery discharge rate while idling?

For some time I couldn't get more than 5hours out of my SP4, so I decided to check what's eating my battery. I made a clean install of W10 and PassMark BatteryMon - UPS & laptop computer battery monitoring software and I would check what is the lowest discharge rate while idling after each and...

Is this Firefox, GPU or Windows problem?

It doesn't matter if it's clean Windows 10 install or not, PC is just booted or wakes up from hibernation, quite often Firefox interface is not fully loaded unless I roll with a mouse pointer over some of the items. This is the only program that has this problem. At first (look at the bookmarks...

Battery wear at 12% only after 11 cycles

37 117 mWh of 38152 mWh left (2.7% wear) after 70 cycles, 3 months of usage. Even more as I remember I had 39 200 mWh at the begining. It was still 37 600 mWh last week. I don't run on a battery until it's dead. Is it normal wear? How it is for others after 3 or more months of usage?

Terrible Build quality II: magnesium alloy body

OK, MaxBuck, sorry, I was wrong. SP4 is perfect. By design, materials used, hardware, software, etc. Mea culpa. I'll start with my parents if you don't mind (complaining)? But still, because I have dual personality I might complain here or there about type cover, body, battery life. Sorry for...

Terrible Build quality II: magnesium alloy body

-> Would you prefer a Surface device that has the same shape and form as now, but in aluminum but because of this is 33% heavier? (magnesium is around 33% lighter than aluminum) - No, I would prefer to know that the paint on magnesium is so delicate that it's better to use some type of...

Terrible Build quality II: magnesium alloy body

Credibility? :D Are we designers here or what? It's just my opinion after using SP4 for a month (compared to device x). “ridiculous, level of credibility...“. Have a nice day too! ;)

Terrible Build quality II: magnesium alloy body

I understand your point, but... Can you imagine Ford making a car from paper? What's wrong with that? You put that car into stainless steel titanium case and there it goes - as safe as a car can be. OK, i can change the subject from “magnesium alloy body“ to the “paint on magnesium alloy body“...

Terrible Build quality II: magnesium alloy body

As it's too late for me to stick with some kind of transparent option, I'll probably get something from Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Skins | DecalGirl SP4 might look cool and really unique with some of them.

Terrible Build quality II: magnesium alloy body

I'm not the one who wraps his amazingly looking electronics so they look like shit and no one would buy them if they originally looked like that :) But yeah, maybe it was false assumption from my side that there is a difference between TV set which you install and leave in the same place forever...

Terrible Build quality II: magnesium alloy body

I was surprised too. Of course that you have to understand that when I'm traveling, my backpack is full to the maximum so that credit card might be brushing into the body quite heavily. Still nothing similar happened to MacBook which btw has other problem - anti-glare covering on the screen...
